Isaiah 33:6-8

New International Version

⁶ He will be the sure foundation for your times,
    a rich store of salvation^(A) and wisdom and knowledge;
    the fear^(B) of the Lord is the key to this treasure.^[a](C)

⁷ Look, their brave men^(D) cry aloud in the streets;
    the envoys^(E) of peace weep bitterly.
⁸ The highways are deserted,
    no travelers^(F) are on the roads.^(G)
The treaty is broken,^(H)
    its witnesses^[b] are despised,
    no one is respected.
